In my local park there is an arch. Tall and thick, not made of brick, but of classically cut stone. It was opened more than a hundred years ago by some local dignitary.
It is not one of a pair. It is just there on its own, just past the house just before the open park.
So, come with me now and stand under it. Stand there. Ignore all those who pass through and might look at you. Just stand there and ponder on where you are.
Behind is the house (where once a princess lived), ahead are the trees and paths. Now, forget your house and all that is in there, and look ahead. Can you see your path? Wait a little longer. Yes? …. Now, move on.
